The whole set is built and styled before you walk in — backdrop, cake stand, props and colour palette. Your little one only has to turn up and do what one year olds do best.

Before the celebration

What age is best for a cakesmash session?

Right around the first birthday — anywhere from eleven to thirteen months. By then most babies sit confidently and are curious enough to explore the cake on their own.

What if my baby will not touch the cake?

That happens more often than you would think, and it is completely fine. Some babies dive straight in, others inspect it very politely. Either way we come away with real expressions, which is the whole point.

How long does a session take?

Around ninety minutes, including the smash and a clean-up afterwards. There is no rush, and plenty of room for a feed or a nap break.
